AM Rizzo Electrical Construction is replacing all the highway signs and most overhead structures on Route 8 from the Watertown line north to Winsted and back.
The job started in January and is expected to last until roughly September 2017. The state Department of Transportation job is estimated to cost $2.57 million.
Rizzo will replace roughly 110 overhead signs and most of those structures. It will also replace roughly 300 post mounted informational signs, including speed signs, route signs, exit signs, ramp signs among others.
